Formerly part of the Ford Motor Company's Somerville auto factory (the Ford Edsel was manufactured here), this familiar watertower which, for many years, stood next to the Assembly Square Mall in Somerville, MA, is now dismantled and lies in the vacant lot just northeast of its former location. Given Somerville's extreme population density, the view in this photo is deceiving. It looks more like Nebraska than Boston. |
