Store Bought Frozen Fish Portions

Use Gorton's or Van DeCamp's Frozen Fish Portions

Spray bottom of fryer basket with cooking spray

Place four fish portions in fryer basket

Spray top side of fish lightly with oil spray

Cook side 1...

380°, 9 mins

Spray side 2 lightly with cooking spray

Cook side 2...

380°, 6 mins

Store Bought Frozen Pot Pie

Make round flat disc of foil slightly larger than pie, spray with oil

Place foil disc in center of air fryer basket

Remove pie from its paper/foil container, place on center of foil disc

Cook top side...

340° 12 mins

Perform this move...

Lift one side of foil disc, insert spatula underneath

Remove disc & pie to cork trivet

Hold spatula flat on top of pie

Carefully invert whole structure so it's on the spatula

Carefully peel off the foil without tearing pie crust

Return foil disc to fryer basket (spray again if necessary)

Slide pie, bottom side up onto center of disc

Cook bottom side...

340° 11 mins

Invert pie top side up onto plate

Store Bought Frozen Breaded Shrimp

Spray cooking oil spray on inner tray. Arrange shrimp in one layer.

Side 1...

380° — 8 mins

Turn all shrimp over, add salt, lemon juice, hot sauce, etc.

Side 2...

380° — 7 mins

Store Bought Frozen Chicken Strips

Spray cooking oil spray on inner tray. Place about 4 strips in basket.

Side 1...

390° — 8 mins

Turn pieces over

Side 2...

390° — 8 mins

For frozen nuggets or smaller chicken pcs, 380° — 7 mins per side

Pork Chops

Use medium thick chops (about ¾" thick)

Small Tray 1

¼ c flour

½ tsp kosher salt

¼ tsp ground black pepper

¼ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp dried thyme

light sprinkle of MSG

(stir above ingedients thoroughly)

Small Tray 2

1/2 c bread crumbs

Square Bowl

1 beaten egg, a little milk or water

These amounts should be enough to bread 4 chops.

Bread the pork chops.

Spray bottom of fryer basket with cooking oil spray

Lay chops in basket and spray tops lightly with cooking spray

Cook side 1 at 380° for 9 minutes

Turn over, spray side 2 with oil spray, cook (still at 380°) 7 minutes.

Chicken (or Pork) Nuggets

3 skinless, boneless chicken thighs (or chunk of pork loin) cut up into nugget size

In plastic bag...

2 tbsp flour

3 tbsp bread crumbs

¼ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp dried thyme

¼ tsp paprika

½ tsp ground black pepper

2 tsp kosher salt

couple shakes MSG

Inflate and shake dry ingredients in bag

Add chicken/pork pieces, shake again

Load nuggets into fryer basket, spray lightly with oil

Cook session 1: 370° 8 mins

Shake or turn nuggets in basket, spray again

Cook session 2: 370° 7 mins

Chicken Thighs (bone in)

Use two medium stainless steel bowls

in smaller bowl...

1 egg beaten

in larger bowl...

½ c flour

2¼ tsp kosher salt

½ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp onion pwd

¼ tsp garlic pwd

¼ tsp paprika

¼ tsp thyme (crushed in M & P)

couple shakes MSG

Spray Air Fryer basket screen with veg oil spray to prevent breading from sticking

Dregde chicken piece in flour mixture

Then egg

Then back in flour a second time

Put skin side up in Air Fryer

(Do not spray chicken w/ oil - oil from chicken will crisp the exterior)

Cook side 1, 390° for 15 mins

Turn over

Cook side 2, 390° for 15 mins

If one or more pieces of the chicken is very large, it will require more cooking [5-8 minutes more].

(Internal temp should be 165°)

Chicken Wings (from frozen, not thawed)

Four cycles: 1st 10 mins to thaw & drain. 2nd, 3rd & 4th seven-min sessions for frying

The thawing session will cause the wings to release a lot of water, so line the fryer basket with foil so you don't have to wash it before the actual cooking sessions.

Put 10 frozen wings skin-side up in foil-lined basket

Thaw at 400° for 10 mins

Remove wings and foil to drain

Spray basket with cooking spray

Return thawed wings to basket skin side up

Cook 7 mins at 400°

Turn wings over, cook 7 mins at 400°

Turn wings over, cook 7 mins at 400°

 

Prepare simple Buffalo Sauce while wings are cooking...

Melt 1 tbsp butter in stainless steel cup

Add 2 tbsp Frank's RedHot Sauce, stir

Put cooked wings into lg stainless bowl

Add sauce, toss or shake to coat

Note: it's better to use thawed or fresh wings (see below)

Four cooking cycles as follows...

Spray basket with cooking spray

Put 10 fresh or thawed wings skin-side up in fryer

Cook 7 mins at 400°

Turn wings over, cook 7 mins at 400°

Turn wings over, cook 7 mins at 400°

Turn wings over, cook 5 mins at 400°

 

Prepare simple Buffalo Sauce while wings are cooking...

Melt 1 tbsp butter in stainless steel cup

Add 2 tbsp Frank's RedHot Sauce, stir

Put cooked wings into lg stainless bowl

Add sauce, toss or shake to coat

Frozen Broccoli Florets

Put broccoli into a bowl, add a little oil, salt & seasonings

Air Fry at 400° for 10 mins, stopping halfway to shake basket

Empty broccoli into a bowl and add grated cheese

Frozen Mozzarella Sticks

These times & temps are estimated after three tries. If these work ok, remove this line

Air Fry side 1 at 330° for 3 mins

Turn sticks over

Air Fry side 2 at 330° for 3 mins

Frozen French Fries

I used Wegmans straight cut fries for this recipe

Put a single layer of fries into the fryer

Cook at 380° for 15 mins

Shake and spray lightly with oil about halfway through

Sprinkle with salt

Frozen Tater Tots

I used Market Basket Tasty Taters for this recipe

Spray bottom of fryer basket with cooking spray

Put a single layer of tots into the fryer

Cook at 380° for 15 mins

Shake basket about halfway through

Sprinkle with salt

Serve with mixture of Ketchup, Soy Sauce & Frank's Red Hot

Homemade Empanadas

Make any kind of filling, usually spicy meat & cheese, and/or potatoes, etc.

Spray bottom of fryer basket with cooking spray

Use store-bought empanada discs. Fill and fold the empanadas & put 3-4 into fryer basket.

Cook at 340° for 6 mins

Turn them over

Cook at 340° for 5 mins more

Serve with mixture of sour cream & salt & scallions

Breaded Eggplant / Zucchini

Prep breading station: seasoned flour, egg/milk, bread crumbs

Spray bottom of fryer basket with cooking spray

Bread the vegetables

Put single layer in Air Fryer & spray lightly with oil

Cook at 380° for 10 mins

Turn them over, spray lightly with oil

Cook side 2 at 380° 6 mins
